Community Care Day

?The United Way of Union County, sponsored its annual Community Care Day May 18. The following URE employees assisted in home improvement projects: Ryan Smith, Ken Hartley, Paul Jaeb, Zita Scheiderer, Sue Gibson and Paul Gillespie.
Another group from URE representing the BIA ~ Building Industry Association were: Brian Lewis, Omar Deihl, TR?Murphy and Dana Springer. The crew spent the day cleaning dishes, walls and windows, mopping floors, sweeping and shampooing carpet, moving furniture, repairing chairs, disposed of a very large television, changed out a furnace filter and the battery in a smoke detector.
URE board member, Dale Scheiderer, teamed up with the St John's Lutheran church men's mission group renovating a deck and ramp for a resident. It was a rewarding day for all involved.
