Residential Rates

Electric Rates

The rate you pay for electricity is based on the type of service you receive. The bill is made up of three parts: Generation, Transmission and Distribution Services (including State Excise Tax).

Rate A (single phase service) Calculation (last rev. 6/15/2010)

Excise Tax Schedule EET.

This rate also apply to small businesses and farms that also use single-phase service.

Fuel Cost Adjustment rate will change monthly. The current rate is 0.0276024 (updated 7/7/2010)

 

Natural Gas

As of May 15, 2010 the current charge for 1 CCF of natural gas is $.89292.

Price for Equivalent Fuel

If you were replacing one of the following fuels with natural gas purchased from CERC, you would be paying the following:

Propane $2.50 per gallon
Heating Oil $4.00 per gallon

By virtue of CERC's nature as a member-owned utility, we are not required to participate in the competitive natural gas market. However, the information is useful if you are interested in keeping track of how CERC rates compare to the rest of the marketplace.
